Adopt Minutes
- •Minutes from previous meeting and the 2025 AGM adopted.
Financials and Accounting
- •Budget status, latest financials, and income stats reviewed — status is good.
- •Auto reminders every two months to outstanding accounts, with late penalty after third reminder; Carl to follow up. Collection can occur at time of sale for outstanding properties.
Correspondence & Membership Maintenance
- •A member email on fireworks (banned if there is a fire ban), playground ribbon-cutting, no formal land acknowledgement, and dunk-tank funds for a new bench was forwarded to the Board. Roy and Rick to write the response.
Green Space Development Committee
- •Review of SGM results — all previous motions did not pass; the committee is awaiting direction.
- •Strata 771 AGM is on the September long weekend. Plan to select 2–3 items, survey which spaces to develop, propose a staged approach starting simple at the lake for year one.
- •Landowners must approve use of the land with KVCA development funds. Board will write up resolutions; Bruce to follow up with the committee.
Canada Day
- •Review of activities and concern over parade complaints from last year regarding OHVs on roads and minor operators.
- •Advisory that no motorized vehicles should be operated on the roads by underage persons during the parade, to go out with the Canada Day committee email. Roy to check for legalities regarding the parade.
New Business or Projects
- •Weed control: purchasing a sprayer, Colin to take the lead.
- •Street sweeping: 2/3 of roads swept, some sections in the middle outstanding; Alan has been doing this on his own schedule. Ongoing proposal to buy a sweeper or vac sweeper — Colin to gather information, put in the road maintenance budget, and discuss with Dean.
Strata 771 Request — Winter Road Clearing
- •Possibly about clearing side roads for property access. KVCA’s stance: only paved roads are cleared, not side roads. Bruce, Rick, and Roy to attend a discussion; a survey may help gauge group consensus, since gravel surfaces are not easy to clear.
